| Here are three shots of the Eagle Pass Bridge complex built by Wayne Burling, which is constructed from Micro Engineering kits. The foam board mountain backdrop fabrication is apparent. What is unique here are single tube flourescent fixtures mounted behind these backdrops. They illuminate the blue walls and accentuate the clouds painted on them. This effect is a relatively new technique and not done enough on model railroads. Leave some space between a low rise in the background and your walls, and install flourescent lighting back there. A photo mural would look great on the wall, highlighted by the light. |
