In 2002 the MVPR leased from the BNSF a 2.14 mile rail line and yard office building. The BNSF daily delivers trains to the yard. MVPR then takes the railcars and switches them to the Daimler Chrysler auto assembly plant and other companies located nearby. MVPR switches 1400 cars per month and has 15 employees (year 2003). It is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Railroads Corporation.
