Glenn Koproske's Models

I needed a model of the transfer cabooses of the Belt Railway Company of
Chicago to accompany my BRC locomotives, so I used a Rivarossi UP I got
from a club member and painted it in the red and black BRC scheme.
I needed a yellow C&NW modern caboose to go with my new Kato Dash-9's in
the lightning stripe scheme, so I used an Atlas Extended Vision unit and
painted over the Northern Pacific paint scheme with Floquil C&NW colors.
I was desperate for an IC extended vision caboose that I saw for years when
I lived next to the main line in Central Illinois. I got an Atlas Soo Line caboose
and consulted with several custom painters and reference books, and found that
Polly Scale SP Daylight Orange was the perfect color for this unique shade of orange.
I bought a Camden & Amboy I-5B Wagontop bay window resin kit, and turned it
into this Pennsy caboose.
The side marker lights really set this model off
nicely. I used dry transfers instead of decals, which I highly recommend
for a change of pace in modelling. The kit was difficult to complete
because of the way the
detail parts were molded. It runs extremely well
and is a one of a kind item.
