Sights Along the Right of Way

Photos and text by Glenn Koproske

Swing bridge, swung open for barge traffic, crosses the Mississippi River.

The approach to the swing bridge looks like it was sceniced with "coarse ground foam."

Since we were riding on the "second floor" of the Superliner car, we get an unusual perspective of the cab of this BNSF locomotive.

Two great BN paint schemes, tail to tail.

From our view from on high, we can look right at the engineer and exchange greetings.

This is one of the greatest paint schemes of all time. Wintergreen and cream.
