Located in Mt. Pleasant, Missouri, less than an hour west of St. Louis, Augusta Station was the realization of a dream for Jerry Smith. Jerry wanted to construct the model train layout that every kid dreams of, and enlisted the help of the Mississippi Valley N Scalers to make that dream a reality. Augusta Station was not just one layout, but several, including interactive games and a gift shop.

Pictured is the new 5,000 square foot building for Augusta Station on Locust Street. It is a clear span building, with central air conditioning, a gift shop, rest rooms, and a workshop. At the time of this photograph, there were 4 N Scale layouts, 1 HO layout, 1 G Scale layout, and an architectural diarama (with an operating monorail) of a shopping mall. There was also a setup where people (children of all ages) can operate skip loaders, plus a 1:24 scale road racing set.

Augusta Station Is Closed and the Layout Has Been Removed
