Hurry Up to the Hobby Shop

Photos by Dan Harding

We wanted to rent passenger vans to take us on the 20 minute trip from Lees Summit to Grandview, but the rental car office closed on Saturday before we would even get there. A great alternative was a bus company. They were inexpensive, would bill by mail, and were prompt, courteous, and wasted no time on our tight schedule.

Jerry Smith along with Bill and Diane Walker watch the Kansas City suburbs zing by.

This is one nifty hobby shop. Well stocked with N Scale, which is the true test of greatness of any hobby shop. Our hosts prepared barbequed beef tenderloin for our lunch. We are still talking about how delicious it was.

Because the train was so late, we had to really hustle to look at all the shelves of N Scale stuff. We bought as much as we could as fast as we could, but we had to leave wanting more. We have to go back again and spend the night next time, and the kind folks there will set up home layout tours for us.
